| Social policies are fundamental to the quest for social justice and gender equality. Despite their transformative potential, however, important gaps and biases persist in their design and implementation. While social protection and social services have been extended to underserved groups, progress remains insufficient and is threatened by persistent austerity and rise of conservative actors. Collective action and broad-based alliances between feminists and other progressive social movements are needed to protect the gains and push further. | |
